Our

Administrative

Team

Denise Daniel

Office Manager

Denise has been with Journeys Family Counseling since day one.  A few of her key responsibilities include daily business operations, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, credentialing, and marketing.  She is also the intake coordinator and works closely with our clients.

That doesn't mean she won't get her hands dirty!  When push comes to shove, she is there with whatever needs to be done... cleaning the office, fashioning a bat costume for Julie out of an umbrella and a glue gun, and has even restored the natural wood floors in the office!

She stays busy in her off hours sewing, camping and spending time with her very blended family.  Her experiences with raising a special needs child and being part of the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group have equipped her to handle most situations.  She has a plethora of resources to share with others in similar situations.  And what she doesn't know, she will work hard to find the answers!

Mental health has been an interest of hers for many years and she feels blessed to be part of such an amazing business, team and environment.  Being a part of Journeys has enriched her life immeasurably and she "couldn't imagine working anywhere else!"

Karen Farenga

Billing & Collections Manager

Karen has been with Journeys since December 2019 and it couldn't have been more perfectly timed!  She is the perfect fit for what Journey's needed during an enormous growth spurt, and Journey's fit into her life like a glove.

Karen is an empty-nester and has recently had the bug to get back into her favorite type of work:  Money.  The numbers game gives her a thrill like no other.  Couple that with her many high achievements from collections experience and she is a force to be reckoned with!

In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world, spoiling her many grandchildren in her blended family and playing competitive darts.  She loves most outdoor activities, especially those that include water!  Living in Florida couldn't be more conducive to her lifestyle!  "Even though I get to go to work barefoot with the sand between my toes, I still feel very much a part of this team."

Karen's social nature, attention to detail, interest in psychology and human behavior, and work experience make her the perfect fit, and a great asset, to the Journeys team.
